Blasphemy ~ The Word

First you think it. Then you say it out loud.

Blasphemy opens like a flame behind stained glass. A rush of sweet orange rises first, juicy and rounded, bright enough to feel almost edible. It is warm rather than sharp, like a peel twisted over fire, sending up tiny sparks of oil. The sweetness draws you in and softens what comes next.

As the orange settles, the heart of the scent begins to glow. Resinous smoke unfurls under the citrus, luminous and ceremonial rather than heavy. It feels like golden incense rising in slow curls, sacred on the surface and subversive underneath. A small, precise dose of clove flickers at the edges, adding a subtle bite that turns the warmth into something more dangerous. Myrrh moves through this glow with a dark, mineral sweetness, grounding the resins and giving them a slightly bitter, devotional depth.

In the base, Blasphemy grows deeper and more human. Smooth, balsamic sweetness and shadowed amber wrap around a low hum of earth and smoke. A soft vanilla infusion melts into the resins and vetiver, turning the whole structure into a warm, ambered skin-scent. It feels like your clothes after hours near a candlelit altar, or pages of a forbidden book that have absorbed years of whispered confessions.

Scent Path

• Top: Sweet, glowing orange. Juicy, rounded and inviting, like a sunlit offering on a dark altar.

• Heart: Luminous incense with a trace of clove and dark myrrh. Warm, smoky and devotional, a golden haze where reverence and rebellion share the same breath.

• Base: Balsamic sweetness, ambered resins, soft earth and infused vanilla. A deep, comforting warmth with a faint smoky shadow, like skin and cloth steeped in ritual.
  

Blasphemy is the second movement in The Heretic’s Trinity. It is the word spoken clearly when you were only ever meant to stay silent. Wear it when you are ready to let your voice carry heat, sweetness and smoke in equal measure.
